Skinner’s Hwy 44 is proud to serve you all your favourite menu items, including our world famous hotdog! Skinner’s is the oldest hot dog venue in Canada! The Skinner’s tradition started in 1929 when Selkirk storekeeper Jim Skinner Sr. opened a small stand in Lockport. Jim defied the depression economy and won the loyalties of generations of Manitobans. The 10 cent hot dogs, 5 cent fries, and the old dance hall may be long gone, but the lifelong tradition of a Sunday drive to Skinner’s remains in the hearts and minds of many happy customers.
